Please read our Terms carefully before sending us your device(s). You should understand that by using this site, you agree to be bound by these Terms and we may amend them from time to time. Every time you wish to use our service please check these Terms to ensure you understand the terms which will apply at that time.

These Terms, and any contract between us, are only in the English language

1. About Us

We operate the website www.renewed.co.uk (the “Site”). We are West One Technology Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 03608228 and with our registered office 153 Brooker Road, Waltham Abbey, Essex, EN9 1JH ("West One" or “us”). Our VAT number is 719304442.

2. About You

By submitting an order on our Site, you confirm that:

  1. You are at least 18 years old; or have the permission of your parent or guardian to send us your Device.
  2. You are resident in Great Britain or Northern Ireland and you are accessing the Site from within the UK.
  3. You own all rights, title and interests in any Device that you send to us or otherwise have the right to send the Device to us (For example: in the case of Repairs).
  4. You are legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
  5. You are not using our service for any commercial or business purposes.
  6. You have removed any SIM cards, memory cards and any other accessory from the Device. We accept no liability for and costs or consequences if the SIM card, memory cards and any other accessory is removed (For example: in the case of Repairs).

3. Use of the Site and how we use your personal information

Your use of the Site is governed by our Terms of website use

We only use your personal information in accordance our Privacy Policy .

4. Agreement for repair

The terms set out in these Conditions of Repair (“Agreement”) shall apply to the service (“Service”) we provide to repair your smartphone, tablet, computer and/or any accessories (“Device”) on the service check-in form.

Reference to “us”, “we” and “our” refer to west one and references to “you” and “your” are references to you (“Customer), the person addressed on this form

All repairs (unless otherwise stated)

This Agreement shall commence from the date you sign the service check-in form and shall continue until we have repaired or otherwise returned your Device, whichever is sooner, and received any payment due from you..

We shall make reasonable efforts to repair your Device subject to the availability of any parts required and/or the terms of any relevant guarantee or warranty. We shall perform the Service using our utmost care and skill.

We shall use high quality compatible parts for the repairs of all Devices.

We shall require the passcode of your Device in order to test the Device before and after the Service. Should you prefer to keep this information private, we can still proceed with an appointment, but will not be able to perform a full functional check on the Device until you return to the store, which can delay the provision of the Service, if any adjustments need to be made.

Any time estimate for completion of the service, which may be given to you, is an estimate only and does not form any obligation under the terms of this Agreement. We will aim to return your Device as soon as reasonably possible, however, any Board Level (Level 3) repairs (i.e. repairs to the logic board of the Device) may take more than 5 working days to be completed.

If we are unable to complete the Service for any reason, or the Service will incur further costs payable by you beyond that initially estimated by us, we will notify you immediately via telephone and/or email. If no fault is found on your Device or you do not accept our revised estimate, we will return your Device to you unrepaired and we reserve the right to charge you an inspection fee in accordance with our standard charges.

The cost of repair will be calculated where possible in accordance with our standard charges as published from time to time.

We shall be entitled to keep your Device until all charges payable have been paid. We may also charge an additional fee for storage of your Device.

Use of our service may void your manufacturer’s/seller's warranty. If you would like to avoid this, then please take your Device directly to the manufacturer/seller. Please note, your warranty will not cover any accidental damage.

We ask our Customers to monitor their Device post liquid damage repair, as unknown issues can arise soon after treatment for liquid damage, which are beyond our control.

Following repair, any water proofing or resistance cannot be guaranteed.

Responsibility for your Device will pass to West One when we receive the Device.

5. Our right to vary these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Every time you use our service the Terms in force at that time will apply to the contract between you and us.

6. Postage

We do not take any responsibility for loss or damage to any Device before we receive it. We strongly recommend that you take all possible steps to protect your Device with packaging to minimise the risk of damage. You acknowledge that unless correctly packaged there is no guarantee that the Device will be received in the same condition as when it was sent.

Please note, Royal Mail recently introduced new guidelines and may destroy any Devices posted to us which contain a lithium battery and are not correctly packaged. We regret that we cannot take responsibility for any incorrect packaging of your Device. To prevent this situation arising please ensure that:

The battery is the original battery supplied by the manufacturer of your Device, and that it is undamaged and that it is inserted into the Device;
That the Device is switched off.

You remain solely liable (and we do not accept responsibility) for non-delivery of or damage to Devices in transit from you to us. We therefore recommend that you send items via the Post Office Special Delivery Guarantee service to provide increased peace of mind and the ability to track your items. When doing so please note the terms and limitations relating to Special Delivery compensation cover as specified by the Post Office, which may be amended from time to time.

7. Limitation of Liability

Limitation of Liability

We do not in any way exclude or limit our liability for:

  • 1 . death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
  • 2 . fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • 3 . any matter which it would be illegal for us to exclude or to attempt to exclude our liability.
  • 4 . You may have other rights granted by law, and these Terms do not affect these.

8. Events outside our control

We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a contract that is caused by an “Event Outside Our Control” as defined below.

If an Event Outside Our Control takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under a contract:

An example of an event outside of our control, or "Force Majeure”, may be, but is not limited to, war, riot, fire, flood, hurricane, typhoon, earthquake, lightning, explosion, strikes, lockouts, slowdowns, prolonged shortage of energy supplies, or an act of state or governmental action prohibiting or impeding us from performing our respective obligations under contract.

we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to notify you; and our obligations under a contract will be suspended and the time for performance of our obligations will be extended for the duration of the Event Outside Our Control.

9. Communications between us

10. Disputes

If you have any complaint about the Site or the services we provide, you should contact our customer services department at the above address and we will try and resolve it as soon as possible. However, if we have a dispute regarding your use of the Site or these Terms, the courts will use English law to determine that dispute. If you wish to take legal action against us, as we are a UK company you should do so in the English courts only.

11. Copyright and legal notices

The Information presented on this Site and contained on this Server is protected by a compilation copyright in the United Kingdom and in other countries. In addition, certain included Information is copyrighted by others. Copying, storing in machine-readable form, downloading, selling, publishing or otherwise disseminating the Information is strictly prohibited without the prior written consent of West One Technology Ltd. The Information contained on this Site and on this Server is the property of West One Technology Ltd.

The Information contained on the Site on this Server is subject to change without prior notice in particular, West One reserves the right to make changes to any products or services described or referenced to in the Site on this Server at any time without prior notice. West One shall not be responsible for the direct or indirect consequences of the use of the Information contained on this Site on this Server.

When using the Site, and when registering your device or booking your repair , you will be agreeing to enter into a contract with West One.
